We are sorry to advise that after working for Battle Flatts for over 20 years, Mike Jones, one of our veterinary surgeons, has now left the practice.
After careful consideration it has been decided not to replace him with another equine vet and therefore Battle Flatts will no longer be able to provide equine care for our horse clients. There are however other equine practices within the CVS group that are in the region. Should you wish to continue to stay within the group and continue to use the discounted Horse Health Programme, then there is Cundall and Duffy Veterinary Surgeons at Scarborough who can be contacted on 01723 375947, Forrest House Veterinary Group at Masham who can be contacted on 01765 689219 and Oaklands Veterinary Group at Yarm who can be contacted on 01642 760313. If your horse is currently under treatment, we have an arrangement with Station House Vets at Welburn that they continue in the short term. Should you require their services, their contact number is 01653 618303.
When you register with a new veterinary practice we will be more than happy to provide them with your clinical records. We will no longer be sending out vaccination reminders for your horse and therefore recommend that you make a note on your diary for when they are due to make an appointment with your new veterinary provider.
If you are a member of the Horse Health Programme and don’t wish to stay within the CVS Group of practices mentioned above, then we recommend that you contact the Horse Health administration team on 01379 658425 to arrange cancellation of this and of your direct debit.
We thank you for your custom and support over the years and wish you and your horses all the best for the future.
